Camera Decision

Last night I carried out an investigation to decide which camera would be best for taking pictures for my opening title sequence.

To investigate this I took pictures in different light tones as my scenes will be filmed at different times in the day meaning the light tone will vary from bright to dark.

Out of the 3 camera available I decided to use the Panasonic Lumix due to the quality at which the images were.

Below are the images I took:

This image is at a very high quality. There is no blurriness and the colour palette is clear and exceptional.

In this image the text message is extremely clear and easy on the eye to read, this is an advantage as the text message content is important for the audiences to gain an understanding of Jimmy and Arthur’s friendship.

These next two images are not as good quality as the images took in natural lighting however I will not be filming this late at night therefore some natural bright lighting will still be available meaning the images taken in the evening will still be at a good quality.

This image was taken with the flash on ‘auto’. This image is at a good quality therefore I may have to change the flash condition from ‘auto’ to ‘forced flash off’ depending on the outcome out the images taken in each condition.

Due to some images being blurry I decided to ask family relatives whether they knew anyone who had a decent camera an luckily my mum informed me that the Junior school she works in owns a highly technical camera which specialises in still imaging rather than motion picture. I believe this would be a great opportunity and would be really beneficial to me. I am still yet to hear an answer.
