Brief Shotlist

This is a draft of the shot types and camera angles I will be using throughout my opening title sequence. I have made this flexible as there is a chance this may change.

  • Zoom out to a long shot to show Jimmy knelt at the side of the grave staring blankly ahead/ placing flowers

  • Zoom in to just show Jimmy

Movement to Manchester
  • Low angle shot of the wheel/ the town hall
  • Pan movement of the surroundings

Meeting the step-father
  • Long shot – shows mother and stepfather arguing in the window as well as Jimmy stood outside looking in and watching them

Meeting the geek character
  • Close up: Jimmy typing a message to another character then presses send

  • Over the shoulder shot: “text Message from Jimmy” – opens text – replies
  • Zooms out so the audience are able to see the face of the characte
Jimmy’s text: “Awful day again, they just won’t leave me alone! L
The geeks text: “Me too. Do you fancy tea at my house tonight?”

Meeting the pregnant teen character
  • Mid shot (ensure audiences can see the preg teen holding/ rubbing stomach) – Jimmy and herself laughing and talking
